Design to Build

Step by Step Process:

  • In-Home Survey: Our design team measures and inspects your home to kickstart the remodel planning process, using this data to transform your current home into your dream space. Your cooperation in providing access and relevant space details is essential.

  • Feasibility: We evaluate the practicality, costs, necessary improvements, and regulatory considerations to ensure your proposed remodel aligns with your goals and is a worthwhile investment.

  • Aesthetics & Concept Planning: Using information from the feasibility study, we create multiple design options. In a collaborative session, we discuss these concepts, gathering your feedback to shape a final design that reflects your preferences.

Step 2:
Committing to The Dream

House Plan
  • The initial step in initiating the design process is an introductory video call with a design consultant from Bradberry Construction and Design. This meeting serves to kickstart the discussion regarding the alterations you wish to make in your home and how our team can facilitate these changes. We aim to delve into the motivations behind your decision to remodel, understand your budget considerations, and provide you with an outline of the entire process.

  • Your design consultant will visit your home for an in-depth discussion about your project expectations. This meeting allows you to personally point out what's functioning well and what needs improvement in your current home design. Your consultant will utilize this information as a foundation to kickstart the design process.

  •  Your Proposal Meeting is equipped with a vision for your remodel and your design team will begin assembling a plan to complete the project. Before moving forward, you'll attend a propsal meeting in the Bradberry Construction to go over your project plan, sign the design proposal, and pay a small retainer to begin the design process.

Step 1:
The Dream

  • Permit Submission and Updates: Your build team manages the permit process, providing updates on major structural, electrical, plumbing, or zoning permits. Approval timelines vary based on project complexity and county regulations.

  • Prepare Your Home: While awaiting permit approval, prepare for the upcoming construction weeks by understanding the remodeling process and planning ahead to ease the impact on your family.

  • Preconstruction Meeting: A week before construction begins, attend a meeting with the remodel team to align on design documents, home access, and set expectations for the project's progress.

  • Product & Material Selections: You and the design team will choose finishes and materials, such as paint colors, countertops, cabinet lines, and flooring, primarily through our online management software, Builder Trend, with some selections made in in-person meetings.

  • Confirm design plans: As your remodel nears completion, we'll ensure transparency on the project's cost, working with you to make any necessary adjustments to align with your budget.

  • Sign Construction Contract: Once the designs are finalized, you'll meet with the team to review and sign the fixed-price construction contract, ensuring clarity on the project's scope and costs from the outset, preventing unexpected expenses during construction.
